Oculus rift s crash

I have an Oculus Rift CV1. Every time I click "run in VR" Steam crashes and the game never starts. If I start the game normally it runs and looks fine. Anybody have suggestions? I can't wait to play this game. This was the first game I ever saw in VR at PAX East... love the look and style.

A techy moderator on the Oculus forum has looked at all the code again and come to the conclusion that the current shutdown and OpenGL bugs with xp11 and Rift's may be a trifecta; Laminar, Oculus, and Nvidia. Probably also Windows imho. Anyway, apparently Laminar is now talking to Oculus so hopefully it will all be sorted out soon.

Regarding "Why get this over the quest 2". Again, only relevant if you are a PC VR user, the Rift S connects via dispaly port which has better graphics than the Quest that links via USB 3.1. So those are the main reasons to go with the Rift S. Good to go our of the box better (maybe) PC graphics, and a more comfortable headset (out of the box). .
